Assembly / Production Worker
CONFORMANCE STATEMENT: It is the expectation of the Audiosears Corporation that the employee hired will perform quality work and strive in assisting the company to meet the goals of its Mission Statement and accompanying goals. The employee will also follow the rules and guidelines set forth in all company policies, interact positively with internal colleagues and external customers, and communicate the status of all projects clearly to management and other parties involved.
LEVEL OF SUPERVISORY AUTHORITY: Reports directly to the Production Manager/Master Scheduler. The Assembly/Production Worker has no supervisory duties or authority.
SUMMARY: Completes production and assembly functions as directed and assigned by, and in accordance with, the production schedule established by the Production Manager/Master Scheduler.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Responsible for assembling finished or semi-finished products in accordance with design specifications. Assembles circuit boards, receivers, microphones, etc.
- Able to safely operate various electric hand tools and air-powered equipment.
- Comfortable with the use of various gluing materials and the ability to safely utilize varying glue guns. Requires moderate gluing and soldering skills.
- Completes timely and accurate assembly and production functions with established time frames and deadlines.
- Reads and comprehends wiring diagrams and work orders.
- Communicates production issues and potential assembly problems or delays with his/her Supervisor.
- Complies with ISO Quality system in a lean manufacturing environment, able to separate non-conforming materials.
INDIVIDUAL DUTIES:
- Promotes safety, quality, and productivity for their department/area.
- Maintains departmental workspaces, equipment and supplies in a clean and orderly manner in accordance with individual assignments, policies and procedures.
- Attend company sponsored classes/training sessions.
- Other duties as assigned.

Quality Control Manager

The employee will also follow the rules and guidelines set forth in all company policies, interact positively with internal colleagues and external customers, and communicate the status of all projects clearly to management and other parties involved.
LEVEL OF SUPERVISORY AUTHORITY: This position reports directly to the Vice President/COO and has limited supervisory duties or authority. Some limited authority extends to Quality Control personnel regarding the quality of their work, performance evaluations, reporting absences, methods of assembly (including training employees regarding quality-specific methods/techniques - e.g. ISO requirements, procedures or policies) and other quality-related activities directly associated with the operation.
SUMMARY: The Quality Control Manager sets the overall strategic direction for achieving world class quality levels as measured by our customers. Achieves and maintains an ISO-certifiable Quality System for the Corporation. Addresses other recognized industry quality standards or key customer requirements as appropriate. Helps to identify quality, cost-effective suppliers for materials and services to ensure efficient delivery of customer orders.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Reviews current quality issues and communicates with management and directly affected personnel.
- Documents root cause analysis and corrective actions and communicates with management regarding quality issues and conflicts.
- Verifies that all incoming material meets specifications and reports deviations to VP/COO.
- Assists production and accounting departments with tracking and/or reporting scrapped components.
INDIVIDUAL DUTIES:
- Directs customer relations activities as related to quality and reliability aimed at achieving total customer confidence and satisfaction.
- Oversees the Company’s Quality Management System (QMS). Establishes and maintains cycle times for the customer complaint resolution system. Works closely with customers to quickly and efficiently resolve complaints and customer audit findings using the CCS system to their satisfaction.
- Establishes internal capabilities for defect analysis and provides conclusive reports on findings to the rest of the Company for corrective and preventative actions.
- Manages the Company’s defect analysis effort to determine the root cause of customer submitted and internally submitted product failures. Ensures proper response times as expected by customers.
- Establishes qualification systems that guarantee the quality and reliability of the Company's products, processes, and suppliers. Ensures that qualification requirements per customer specifications are included in the appropriate quality plans. Coordinates internal qualification requirements with those requested by our customers.
- Develop, implement and maintain a supplier management program.
- Promotes and sustains a Company-wide culture of continuous improvement.
- Manages and maintains a core set of records for change notification, quality audits, and internal and customer corrective actions.
- Directs the preparation of quality reports presented to management and customers.
- Creates and maintains quality procedures related to the contract manufacture of new products, processes, defect analyses, etc.
- Provides document control services to ensure that procedures, forms and internal administrative systems guarantee controls with the minimum of bureaucracy.
QUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, the employee must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:Bachelor's degree in a technical field appropriate to the electronic manufacturing industry, such as Electrical Engineering or Electronics. Three (3) years' experience in the electronics industry with main concentration in quality and reliability assurance. Demonstrated ability to achieve and maintain an effective quality system compliant with ISO quality system.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to customers, vendors and employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: College-level mathematics applications with the ability to perform statistical process control calculations to assess process capability.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Able to develop and lead in-house training sessions.

Quality Control Inspector

SUMMARY: The Quality Control Inspector complies with the Company's overall strategic direction for achieving world class quality levels as measured by our customers. Supports the Quality Control Manager in maintaining an ISO-certified Quality System for the Corporation. Supports the Quality Control Manager in maintaining quality testing equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Able to read and interpret assembly prints, determine values of components and inspect materials accordingly.
- Examines parts and tests for defects. Identifies non-conforming material and dispositions accordingly.
- Writes reports to describe and illustrate discrepancies, malfunctions, and deviations from order specifications.
- Identifies ways to increase quality and productivity by performing various testing and maintenance functions on testing equipment.
- Maintains the Company calibrations system in accordance with ISO requirements.
- Examines testing machinery and identifies functioning problems.
- Identifies non-conforming machinery and performs calibrations of a variety of test and measuring equipment.
- Communicates machinery malfunctions as they pertain to quality control efforts.
- Maintains records and generates reports required by the Quality Management System.
- Conducts research related to customer requirements and specifications.
- Performs a variety of environmental and destructive/non-destructive mechanical, electrical and acoustic testing.
INDIVIDUAL DUTIES:
- Reviews current quality issues and communicates with Quality Control Manager.
