Unamplified Standard Dynamic Microphone
The 1938 microphone is a self-contained transducer (controlled magnetic type) that replaces a standard carbon microphone. transmitter cup and cap on standard handsets. Basic unit is unamplified; the amplified version of this microphone is P/N 1939, which is functionally equivalent to P/N 1583C (T-1 type) transmitter. 1938SG includes an optional steel grid.
The base P/N 1938*** includes no other options, with two standoff terminals on the back of the mic cup. P/N 1938-1, 1938-2 and 1938-3 come with 1, 2 or 3 extra standoffs (for miscellaneous electrical connections).
