1901 Series Cradles

1901 series cradles
Rugged, field-tested cradles manufactured by Audiosears accomodate all G-3 and G-5 type handsets produced by AT&T Technologies, Inc. (Western Electric), Audiosears, and other manufacturers. The are designed for panel mounting to secure handsets, or to provide controlled switching functions when a handset is placed in or removed from the cradle. The cradles are commonly used in elevators, mobile, marine, and aircraft applications.

Pictured here is the 1905 cradle assembly complete with all options, including 12793 mounting plate, 8672 switch, 12791 retaining clip, and 8670 terminal board.

A new optional feature is the covert mic (covert microphone), which allows sounds in the room to be monitored remotely for security purposes. This feature operates when the handset is on-hook and is particularly useful in mobile applications such as busses, subways, trains, and other public transportation. It is also a good safety feature for elevators and other enclosed spaces.

Cradles may be purchased as separate component parts, as factory assembled units, or as pre-wired handset and cradle combinations in accordance with specific requirements.
