A new optional feature is the covert mic (covert microphone), which allows sounds in the room to be monitored remotely for security and safety purposes. This feature operates when the handset is on-hook and is particularly useful in mobile applications such as busses, subways, trains, and other public transportation. It is also a good safety feature for elevators and other enclosed spaces. Please note that covert microphones are available as an option in all cradle and handset/cradle assemblies.
